At the end of a difficult week for the club, Fiorentina Women lost 3-0 to Inter at the Curva Fiesole. However, the Viola still have a nine-point advantage over the Nerazzurre in the race for the Champions League.

A homage to Joe Barone was paid before the game, in which club president Rocco Commisso, his wife Catherine and all fans present gave a minute’s silence and a minute’s applause for Joe, who sadly passed away this week.

As for the game itself, Inter were out the blocks quickly, with Annamaria Serturini capitalising on confusion in the Fiorentina defence.

Lina Magull doubled the visitors’ lead after the break before Agnese Bonfantini put the result beyond the home side in the 69th minute.

Next up for Fiorentina is Juventus away from home on Saturday March 30th, kick-off at 15:00 CET.
