Draw in Nyon throws up a tough tie with the first leg on September 18/19
The draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League took place on Monday, with Fiorentina set to face Wolfsburg in a two-legged tie to earn a place in the group stage.
The exact times and venues will be confirmed in due course, with the matches set to be played on September 18/19 and 25/26.
The Germans are familiar opponents, having faced the Viola in the last 16 back in 2017. The first leg, which took place in Florence, saw the visitors record a 4-0 victory, while the return leg was a thrilling 3-3 stalemate.
Having been crowned European champions twice in 2012/13 and 2013/14, Wolfsburg also have seven German leagues and 11 German cups to their name. They finished second in the league last season behind champions Bayern Munich.
